Re: DTN receiver

if you have a friend who owns and knows how to
use a frequency reader (oscilloscope), then
have him/her check your dish to see if the
wave form pattern is correct and stable.
This gives you exactly what is wrong and easier
to figure out what is going on.

the LNB that you used to use could be one that
takes a more limited ranged than the newer models.

If the channel DTN use is right at the boundary
of your original one and it is 4 to 5 yrs old, you
may need a newer one.

Another possibility is that you are pointing to a
"ghost" signal which is a reflection of some sort,
thus the instability. try shifting the base of the
dish a few feet away and realign.

One more thing, this weekend is bad for aligning
dish because of the meteor shower ... could affect
your signal depending on when you are.

Good luck.
