Rather than shorten the space available in the Subject line for
content, it's better to sort on something that uniquely identifies
the mail as coming from this list server. Here's a sample of the
header that accompanies each message distributed by the server
(minus some Received lines, and preceded here by ">" characters):

>From omega-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx Sun Jul 23 12:22:46 2000
>Resent-Date: Sun, 23 Jul 2000 12:22:08 -0700

There are several header fields above that can be used to identify
mail from this list:

>From omega-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx Sun Jul 23 12:22:46 2000
>Resent-From: omega-list@xxxxxxxxxx
>X-Mailing-List: <omega-list@xxxxxxxxxx> archive/latest/54237
>X-Loop: omega-list@xxxxxxxxxx
>Resent-Sender: omega-list-request@xxxxxxxxxx

If your mail software will let you tell it to look for any of those
header fields, it's guaranteed to pick out this list's messages.
(Note the lack of a colon after "From " in that From line).

The most obvious might be: "Resent-From: omega-list@xxxxxxxxxx"
