I gave up on PS200i running BMI/win98 with the release
of sp2.The GlobalServer/BMI/DBC DataManager combo
was/is not even usable without a lot of special dual
processor/HD & hardware requirements
,tweaks,unnecessary $$$ and bull.
So with the release of sp5 I decided to try again with
Win2000Pro and Signal broadcast server in the
GlobalServer feed by Dynastore for Quote.com. The
Signal/Dynastore/GlobleServer part works very well
together! Data is fine now. Prices in PS are charting
at the same time as in the Qcharts application.
No delays!(With BMI/GlobalServer combo the charts
trailed the server by as much as 20 min! at market
open on the same computer)
The problem now is with the charting and quote
monitors.Can anyone tell me why the bars flash with
each RT tick in charting. I have had this same problem
with ProSuite on every computer I have tried, so I
dont think its the Video card/drivers it must
something in PS.
Also, does anyone REALLY USE RadarScreen? The prog
generates fatal errors every time if I amtrying to
display any Omega supplied RadarScreen indicators
other than basic Quote window data O,H,L,C,Vol etc.and
try to save the workspace with the RadarScreen. You
apparently dont get a basic Quote window module to
display quotes in Prosuite, only a RadarScreen module
will display the quotes and it has a huge overhead
compared to a Quote window.
I created a template for RadarScreen with only basic
Quote info ie; Symbol,net,O,H,L,C,Vol etc. and if I
dont touch it,it wont crash. The only other solution I
have come up with on RadarScreen problem would be to
uninstall ProSuite then install custom with TS200i
only and not RadarScreen and Optionstation.
Is anyone else having these problems? Solutions?
