SP5 Update - Not Stable

I have been running the SP 5 update since last week,
and true to Omega, it is less stable than SP3 or SP4.

TS 2000i cannot be touched (I mean used) in real time,
such as looking at a performance report, (or doing mostly
enything) without ending in a crash. This has not changed from SP 3 to
SP 5. Also, If you try to print an equity curve report,
whether offline or online your system will hang.
This was a SP 4 and SP 5 feature. When it is
running in realtime, you better just watch.

The biggest problem with SP 5 is optimization,
or changing system parameters while off line.

It crashes much more frequently. I just manually
changed a moving average 3 times in a row
and crashed my system. (Offline).

What I don't understand (being a programmer myself) is
how I can make this product crash so fast under normal use,
and it is actually shipped, and the problems are never
fixed. I don't even know how I would write code this bad.
I have never seen crashes like this in my own code,
no matter what I was trying to do.

Can Omega explain just what the problem is? Is it data?
if so, why can you surf with explorer or netscape
for hours, with alot more data and not crash?
If its the database, why don't I see these type of
other crashes in database products? Even in third party
ODBC drivers you can buy for $150?

What is it?

Thanks,

David
