shrink wrap licenses are not enforceable according to most legal
sources i've consulted. and omega knows it, otherwise, they would have
gone after the "violators" with a vengence. according to allan's
citation, ts 3.5 users could even disassemble or reverse engineer the
code to make it useable for 2000 and beyond. now that's something to
think about!!!!

btw: this controversy may end up requiring software sellers to place
the "license" terms on the outside of the package so that you can read
it before you buy it. would you have bought ts x.xx having known about
the non-transfer provisions beforehand? may yes or maybe no. most of
the time, we're too damn busy getting the thing to run :))
