======================================================================
     MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 23, 1999--

Company to Offer Comprehensive Financial Market Database
as well as Daily and Tick-by-Tick Data on an End-of-Day
Basis via the Internet on Monthly Subscription Basis

Omega Research, Inc. (NASDAQ:OMGA) announced today the launch of
HISTORYBANK.COM(SM), an Internet financial data service that will
seamlessly provide historical market data and daily data update
services to the Company's software customers on an end-of-day basis
via monthly subscriptions. HISTORYBANK.COM offers price and volume
data on U.S. stocks, futures markets, options and major indexes.
The service has two major components: HISTORYBANK.COM(TM)
Financial Database, a database on CD-ROM which contains up to 30 years
of historical financial market data that will initially retail for
$995, but will be included at no extra charge with TradeStation(R)
2000i, OptionStation(R) 2000i, RadarScreen(TM) 2000i and Omega
Research ProSuite(TM) 2000i; and HISTORYBANK.COM(SM) Daily Update
Service, which will offer financial market data as an end-of-day daily
(open, high, low, close) presentation and as an end-of-day
(tick-by-tick) presentation. The data has been tightly integrated with
the Company's 2000i line of investment analysis software officially
released yesterday, and, according to the Company, should provide the
best end-of-day data solution for its 2000i software customers.
The overall service has been designed to address the unique needs
of investors who use historical market data for investment strategy
back-testing. For example, the data service includes currently-trading
and no-longer-trading stocks so that investors are able to back-test
their strategies without a survivorship bias. The data also includes
complete stock split historical information, futures continuous
contracts, options data, including seven years of historical implied
volatility, and Market Guide Industry Groups. Extensive symbol
maintenance has also been done on the historical database to reflect
symbol changes, mergers, acquisitions, bankruptcies, and reverse
splits. The HISTORYBANK.COM Daily Update Service is expected to serve
as a complete data solution for investors who only require data on an
end-of-day basis, and as a complementary data "refresh" service for
investors who use real-time data delivered by one of the many
real-time datafeeds compatible with the Company's products. When used
as an end-of-day "refresh" service, HISTORYBANK.COM data seamlessly
integrates with the data provided by the third-party real-time data
vendor. Accordingly, the Company expects to market HISTORYBANK.COM to
both end-of-day and real-time investors.
HISTORYBANK.COM Financial Database is expected to begin shipping
this week. HISTORYBANK.COM Daily Update Service is expected to be
available no later than the second quarter of 1999, at which time it
is expected to be offered solely to Omega Research 2000i software
users for a promotional period free of charge. Following the
promotional period, the Company expects the daily update service to be
offered at monthly subscription rates initially ranging from $29.95 to
$49.95.
Omega Research's 2000i line of software products is compatible
with the following real-time Internet and broadcast data services:
Data Broadcasting Corporation's (NASDAQ:DBCC) Signal Online
(Internet), StockEdge Online (Internet), InSite (Internet), DBC Signal
(Broadcast) and BMI (Broadcast); Data Transmission Network
Corporation's (NASDAQ:DTLN) DTN Real Time and DTNstant (Broadcast);
and PC Quote, Inc.'s (AMEX:PQT) Hyperfeed(TM) (Internet and
Broadcast). An agreement is also in place to add, later this year, as
a compatible real-time data service, Standard & Poor's ComStock's
Xpressfeed(TM).
Founded in 1982, and headquartered in Miami, Florida, Omega
Research, Inc. is a leading provider of real-time investment analysis
software for the Windows operating system. With the 1991 release of
its flagship product, TradeStation(R), the Company pioneered the
concept of utilizing the power of the personal computer to enable
investors to historically test the profitability of their own
investment strategies and then computer-automate those strategies to
generate real-time buy and sell signals. Omega Research's other
principal products are OptionStation(R), RadarScreen(TM), Omega
Research ProSuite(TM) and SuperCharts(R).
