Just a reminder if you have BMI and didn't delete the 12/31/98 bad ticks generated back in
September, it's getting close to the time do do so.
Yesterday I deleted the 12/31/98 bad ticks as follows:
1. BACKED UP my Omega directory..
2. Started the BMI off-line server.
3. Selected File and then Delete in the upper left
4. Clicked "Add All"
5. Entered the dates 12/31/98 for both From and To, and for both Daily and Intraday.
6. Clicked OK - This went very fast.
7. After the deletion was completed, shut down the off-line Server
8. Deleted C:\omega\server\btc\40bonn.idx
9. If you collect 5-minute. bars, also delete the 5-minute file and index, in the same
directory as 40bonn.idx.
10. Started the Real-time server, which rebuilt the index file (40bonn.idx).
The deletion process is fast, about 30 minutes per Meg of 40bonn.dat. Rebuilding
40bonn.idx seems to take about 1 hour per Meg of 40bonn.dat
I first tried the copy-out and paste-in process posted by Melody Blais in September. I
estimated it would have taken all weekend, if it were completed then.
