Times in the server are based on "data feed" time which for BMI, Signal,
etc. is US Eastern time. In other words, both the NYSE and the SP
futures open at 9:30, even though the local time in Chicago is 8:30.

In charting, you can apply an offset so all times are displayed in your
local time or whatever. But, the NYSE and SP futures will (and should)
both display the same time at the open. Makes sense when you think about
it. If a trade in New York and one in Chicago both occur at the same
time, you want to be able to chart them together even though they are in
different time zones.

Most people (at least the internet crowd) just leave things set for New
York time. Makes it easier to compare trades with people in different
time zones.
