Unfortunately Equis don't license the real-time portion of the MetaStock Developer's Kit (they haven't done this for about 9 years) that allows developers to incorporate real-time data feeds.  One can speculate this is probably because they are owned by Reuters and don't want any competition with their real-time QuoteCenter product.

You can complain about this - or alternatively vote with your feet and move to a different platform that does allow such integration.  I can recommend www.amibroker.com as a suitable alternative that does support Interactive Brokers.

I'd like to know if there is a Metastock version that can directly use the TWS datafeed of Interactive Broker.

 

Or a plug-in from 3rd party has to be used for such purpose.
