Peter,

Plot the HUI index on a chart.

Then plot the following as an indicator.

lastDay:=LastValue( DayOfMonth( ));
Date:=DayOfMonth( )>=lastDay;
y:=Date AND Alert(Date=0, 2);
Gold:= Security( "XAU",C);
If(y=1,Ref(gold, -1),gold) ;

Let me know how if this does the trick for you.
