Hi Preston

Setting colours and styles in the formula would be good but I'm not holding my breath waiting for it to happen :-( Setting preferences when the drop-down process pauses to allow changes to default Input() values is the best option we have for now.

Roy

  Roy,

  Thanks for the input!

I saw the problem after I posted and was looking at several
different ways to resolve it. Your suggestion is probably the best.

Sure would be nice if we could set the colors and style in the
formula. Another option that I thought about was resetting the
  default style and color.

plotted with a heavy weight it will be virtually invisible.
Selecting it when it can't be seen is also a problem. Another way to
go might be generate X several bars prior to the last bar (easy to
do as you'll already know), and use the earlier signal with ValueWhen
() to plot the LastValue() of support and resistance for several
bars rather than just the one bar.

gets the wanted color, style and weight as soon as it's first
dropped down onto a chart is to include an Input() function in the
formula. Inserting an Input() function in this case could also serve
to set the number of bars plotted.
