Make sure that you are not assigning 100% of capital to each trade. When trades are considered for entry on one bar the number of shares to be purchased is calculated, but if the stipulated entry price on the next bar is higher the trade will fail because there is insufficient capital to purchase the calculated number of shares at the higher price.
Read Tom Sprunger's document on EST problems - it should be available in the Files section of this group. It doesn't cover all problems but it will tell you a number of potential problems to be aware of.
