Hi Pierre and forum members
I have run a full system scan with Norton Antivirus (NAV 2005), and both my antivirus and firewall
programs are fully up to date. No virus was detected on my computer, and my PC had been turned off
for 7-8 hours prior to the virus being distributed. Thanks to an ISP problem I was also off-line for
the same period after the virus was allegedly sent from my PC.
It seems much more likely that the virus spoofed my user name and address. I'm positive that the
source of the virus was elsewhere, and on behalf of the pathetic creature that created this
particular annoyance may I offer an apology for the consequent wasted time and effort suffered by
group members.
