Without having to become ingenious you might also consider doing this
with the option related formula Life, which calculates days to expiry.

Say the aspect you are interested in is triggered on 12/18/2004 use
the formula:

1/Life(2004,12,18);

Add

0.25;
0.5;

. . .to get some idea as to when the aspect is getting close, or
alternatively wrap it in an if statement to make sure you are not
getting noise from a distant signal e.g.

If(1/Life(2004,12,18)<0.25, 0, 1/Life(2004,12,18));
