The polynomial has three levels of 
exponentiation. The single value, the squared and the cubed. Then the whole 
thing is applied another set of maths. I do not remember the exact 
method.
Maybe if I look up my old books, I would be able 
to find it out.
However, I also remember that there is a built in 
function in excel, which I used very easily, and then discarded as it was to 
whippy.

  methodology but long forgotthe end formula(y^=?)i once programed a 
  linear reg into ms pretty easely if you could send the formula i'm sure it
