Re: Still trying ...

Corey,
After making some tidy profits (and still doing so) from info and advice
received from the old stock central and now tno i reasoned that the annual
fee did not exceed the brokerage i had paid on profitable trades that would
not have been transacted without the knowledge gained from these sites,
my original reasoning was ok, kerry (my wife) and i would miss one meal
out at a decent restauraunt, plus the fee is tax deductible, anyway it
is all relevant to the way you would like to trade and i like the more
frequent meals out (with better wine) that has since ensued,  plus
i look at the money i have spent on courses and literature re-trading and
like the turtles say " if your on a good thing stick to it",  i would
not like to change my trading habits at the moment.
If i sound like i am ramping tno i do it because i feel i owe a debt
to them for what they have given me.

Jim,
I have seen some of it but not all of it. I'm not impressed with the
content
or format. It is extremely unlikely that I will pay for something which
is a
bulletin board with way too much extraneous stuff added. I have no
need for
all that other superfluous fluff. I've already paid for a computer
and
modem, phone lines, and for an ISP. That's the limit of my costs to
make a
few idea exchanges.
You are correct about Jose. He reads and comprehends MS code like he
was
just reading a newspaper.

G'day All
and a safe and happy holiday season to you all from Australia
Corey
Stock Central is still there in a skeletal form but in the past month
or so
Austin Hui (who established and administered Stock Central) has established
http://www.tradersnetwork.org
with the same ethos and community spirit plus the capacity to better
expand
the site. At the moment the focus there is on the ASX but he is planning
USA
and Global coverage soon.
You can register for a thirty day free trial and socialise with other
traders in the chitchat section or read the feel good section to refresh
your faith in humankind. There is a section for Fundamentalist/Tech/Analysis
discussion of techniques also the physcological side of trading has
a
section and an aussie legend, *Jose*  in metastock formulae has
his own
section and will write or translate your requirements at no charge
(yet).
drop in and say hello.

The Aussies have the best website I have seen for help. They have several
wizards at programming and expect good manners in return.
Cruise their past messages for excellent nuggets of info.

How long does it take for email to arrive to the list once it's sent?
Does a
moderator have to read it first before it is approved and sent.
Am I being impatient [and paranoid]  because I don't see my email
delivered
to the list in 25-30 minutes? I'm not talking about replys just stuff
I've
sent.
What other lists do you folks enjoy and recommend?
