That's right. In the System tester go to option, then in the equity section
you can change the testing to point only.
I've got MSBT and it's definitely worth the small price you pay for it. It's
not too user friendly but once you get the hang of it it's ok.

This is not exactly true.
Please check for yourselves. Go to Tester's options, select Points only
test, and select Commissions in %.
Type there whatever, some round number is best. Run any test whatever. Go to
Reports, again Reports, Trades, click any trade, click Inspect.
You've got Entry and Exit prices there as well as Entry-Exit commissions.
You can see there that these commissions are also Points, not percentages,
irrespective of your choice in the Tester options.

All the best

PS. I haven't checked MSBT as the demo I downloaded didn't install properly,
but I did read the description with UTMOST attention ;-)) {considering the
amounts of work it could save me}
I gather MSBT is no different than the Tester? {in this respect, I mean. If
you select Points only test you're automatically for points-only commissions
as well? Or would someone correct me if I'm wrong please? If it's otherwise,
I'm ready to
do anything to get it to work - reinstall MS, reinstall Windoze... buy a new
computer ;-)) etc.}
