Stability and Win2K (Was:Re: Thanks)

Just to echo David, switching from Win98SE to Win2000 (clean install) solved *all* of my problems.
Any Metastock glitches I experienced were all taken care of--stability, speed, etc. I've since
upgraded that computer to 512MB of P133 RAM, but it worked well with 256MB as well. It's *only* a
P3 667MHz system. I've built a network at home and I try to keep the trading computer very
clean--i.e. no extraneous programs on there or running in the background.

Stability has been spectacular, and my TS2Ki has been glitch free. Global Server and TS have been
as stable as my TS4 for real time trading applications. (I'm using Dynastore to feed my Metastock
and Tradestation programs using a feed from Quote.com as well as to retrieve my historical data.)
I trade the index futures electronically (ES & NQ), and I've often run Metastock and TS
side-by-side on this same computer sharing the feed, each running around 9 charts with systems and
custom indicators applied. These two symbols alone will tick around 75,000 times per day
combined, so there's a pretty decent load on the system.
