I fully agree with you.

The idea of subscribing to use the windows operating systems is quite
annoying. This seems to suggest that Microsoft is at the end of new
development for the windows O/S.

Is there any "easy" way that Metastock can be run on other operating
systems.  I'm thinking mainly of Linux
