Still you will not know how the virus is written and what it will do.

Even if you have multiple backups it can be that the virus is allready
there but is inactive till a certain day or time or maybe even a combination
of those 2 or any thing the virus maker thinks of.

For example the Tjernobyl Virus.

It was set to strike only on the exact day the plant exploded.
(some 10 years ago in russia)

That means every year on that date it will come back if you have
no virus scanner and an old backup.
