None of really knows with any certainty what Gann did or didn't do. I have
personally seen some stuff with the Square of Nine work unbelievably well.
So in my mind he was doing somethings that were definitely vaild, to my
satisfaction at least. That doesn't mean I believe he died with $50M, nor
honestly do I think it matters.

To try something that you don't like is one thing. To trash it because you
can't make it work, and therefore extrapolating that therefore no one can,
is another. Even worse to trash something you haven't even taken the time to
research.

There are enough advocates of Gann that have taken at least something from
it, that I think it makes the work worth a look.

There are many successful traders out there trading pure mechanical systems.
I know personally I can't do that. But for me to say "all systems are
lousy", or "no one can make money trading a system" etc etc is wrong. "If
your not like me, then your wrong", generally is not an attractive
philosophy. Thats the real problem I have with a lot of this general pot
shot criticism.
