List,
Well, that SP39 Sell Signal I mentioned for yesterday didn't last long.
After just one day, we had a SP39 Buy Signal for this morning.
I have to admit that watching the open this morning, I didn't have the nerve
to buy anything else as we were already long based on our H700 Intermediate
Term Signal.
I did buy more MU and TSM yesterday near the close, taking advantage of the
drop. I only wish I had waited for today's opening. :)
I know there has been a lot of differing opinions concerning the potential
shortfall in semis production, but I thought I would pass this on. This has
not been verified, but is on the street in Silicon Valley. TSM just
notified 2 major customers that they wouldn't be able to continue to supply
them as they are totally sold out of capacity at least through the end of
the year or longer. Remember, this is worth exactly what you paid for it,
but we're putting our money where our mouth is. We now own 4-5,000 shares
and plan on holding them through year end. Again, I'm not trying to get
anyone to buy these. All I'm doing is repeating rumors on the street and
letting the list know that we have taken long term positions as opposed to
our normal trading. The semi-conductor industry is the only industry that
we have any information on since my brother has a semi rep firm in the
Valley and supplies such companies as Palm, etc. Our view is strictly from
his narrow perspective as well as the perspective from one of the companies
he reps (the 5th largest, I believe, semi company in the world). Again, I
want to repeat this disclaimer. We have no ownership interest or anything
else to gain in trading either MU or TSM, other than to feel that these
should be good investments. My brother's target for MU is $100 a share (he
should only be right). :) I never did ask him what his target is for TSM,
but I think we were looking for $60 a share a month or two ago. Again, this
is worth exactly what you paid for it.
Regards,
Guy
Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be
changed regularly and for the same reason.
