When you say 'buy volatility', are you referring to buying OPTIONS while the
underlier is volatile?

I studied volatility  ( Standard Deviation) and noticed the following :
 
Sometimes you can Buy Low Volatility and Sell High Volatility
 
BUT   (there's always a but friends :) )
 
Sometimes you can Sell Low Volatility and Buy High Volatility
 
so :  don't get caught with this two sided sword..............
