With the faq printed below and replacing the EOD-sequence(d to w) by your RT-sequence
(RT to 5min or RT to 10min) you should get away with it, eg improvising a bit that is.

What can be pasted in Excel stemming from Downloader Data Files can also be pasted
(back) into the Downloader, eg create a few new (test-)securities and start copying+pasting.

(Else, feel free to send the file incl. the instructions.......)

How can I take a daily data file and make a new weekly data file out of it without destroying the daily file?

msg00045.htm

To do the following you must be using MetaStock 5.1 and The DownLoader 4.1 or higher.

Open the security in MetaStock and change the compression to Weekly.
Right Click on the X-Axis, select Properties and write down the first date loaded, then close X-Axis Properties.
Right click on the Security's weekly price bars and select Copy.
Open The DownLoader.
Click File | New | Security
Enter the Name and Symbol.
Select Weekly as the periodicity and enter in the first date you wrote down from above.
If the original daily file included Open and Open Interest make sure these two boxes are checked. If not un-check them.
Click the Data Sheet button to open up the data sheet window.
Make sure the cell cursor is positioned in the upper left cell.
Click on the Edit menu and select Paste. This will paste the weekly prices into the new security.
Close the security and select Yes to save changes.
You will now have a new weekly data file and your daily data file will remain intact.
