Subject: Free historical daily stock market data for 20,000 companies

At http://www.StockWiz.com you can find free historical daily stock prices
for over 20,000 companies. The data cover all US and Canadian companies,
all US Mutual Funds and about 400 US and Canadian indices. The data come
with a free copy of StockWiz Pro 98. You can use StockWiz to search the
price databases for the companies that meet your own criteria.

StockWiz greatly differs from other stock market screening and ranking
programs in the market. This is because the other programs present you with
a fixed number of pre-calculated variables (such as
Percent_Change_From_5_days_ago) but do not necessarily offer the 7 or 10
day equivalent. StockWiz offers much greater flexibility because it stores
the actual daily prices and then allows you to calculate many different
variables on the fly. The StockWiz approach takes more space and time and it was
more difficult for us to develop but when it comes to analyzing data we did not
want to take any shortcuts and neither should you.

The free historical data are in the form of StockWiz databases. The
distribution file is about 100MB. For this reason, you should only attempt
to download the data if you have a high speed connection to the Internet
such as DSL, cable modem or a T-1 line. You can also order the data on
CD-ROM for a fee of $19.95 plus a small shipping and handling fee.

StockWiz can export data for all or some companies in a number of text
formats and in the Metastock binary format. This means that you can use the
StockWiz data with programs like Metastock, OmniTrader, Window on Wall
Street, Wall Street Analyst, SuperCharts, AIQ and many others.
