Thanks for the suggestion and observation.  No doubt you are right.

Unfortunately (for me) I essentially write my own trading and support code.
I "standardized on the Metastock format utilizing the Metastock File Library
DLLs.  My decision was based in part on the "self-correcting" and auto-date
alignment features of the Reuters product.

Sounded good at the time, but it looks like I made a bad choice.  I'm
willing to beg rather than start over again. On the other hand, TradeStation
has development support as well....
