Guy, you have read it correctly.

The point Equis is making is that DL-users that are currently users of the
DL-programs' build-in "Download-Tool", eg the pre-packed customised
modem/internet connectioning Tool to connect to AND collect from sources
like DialData or TeleScan etc., are the only DL-users that for the moment
should keep their old program alongside the upgrade (with an exception
made for current RTD-as source-users ofcourse).
This is only just for the moment, so as to enable continuation of their daily
downloading sessions.
Side by side, they should then install the new upgrade into a separate folder.
Later, they can always Un-install by just removing the folders to the WIN95-Bin,
and install the "customised version"-patch(see below).

As far as I can see, this installing the upgrade for these users, then ONLY
applies if these users wish to benefit from the new upgrade's advantage tool
for the EURO conversion(MultiAdjust Tool).

Otherwise, just to install the upgrade to currently have a Y2K compliant version
at hand, then for theses users it is better to wait for a week for the release of
the especialy by Equis announced "customised version"-patch (not an upgrade?)
available on Equis' website in a weeks time.
My guess is that this patch still requires for the upgrade to be installed first, before
ever installing the patch properly.
Together installed would then mean for these users to have done a full upgrade.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you do not fall into the above "customised connections" DL-program users
catogory, eg like myself not at all making any use of the buid-in "Download" Tool,
(eg I only do my daily updating-files-sessions using the build-in "Convert Tool"
with converting 3td parties' txt-files), then you can just install over the 'prior' version,
eg just install the upgrade to get a DLv6.52.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
For anyone else to just have a version installed in just a folder to enable for usage
of the EURO conversion Tool(MultiAdjust), do this as is mentioned by Equis
Support "in a separate folder"(see also above).
Once the upgrade is installed into separate folders(eg alongside the 'prior' version
or stand alone), it can always get "un-installed" by "moving" the seperate folders to
the Win95-Bin.

Currently, on my system, the new upgrade is registered in the Registry alongside the
older 'prior' version, and as far as I can recall, none of the vital DL's Reg-entries were
changed/overwritten, only the upgrades' own Reg-entries were made/added.
Actualy, the old 'prior' version is still FULLY present in the Registry.

Regards,
Ton Maas
