Quotes-Plus,
I mentioned there were 3 dates missing from !NQ-U, !NQ-NL, and !NQ-NH. While
these indexes are of less importance, the records are required when creating
composites. These dates are 11/28/97, 10/28/97, and 7/5/96. With MetaStock, if
any dates are missing, the composites will be incorrect because the Equis
Downloader will mis-match the dates.

After I received your corrected data below last night, I noticed that the
corrected figures did not show up in my MetaStock exported data. I have
exported all of the !NQ-xx & !NY-xx tickers. I had to use my old DOS ZIP
utility to ZIP all of the files in the folder to back up the tickers, delete
from Windows Explorer the exported data, and re-export the MetaStock data using
your utility. Also, because the Quotes-Plus export utility only exports 6
letters for the ticker description and I had added better descriptions, I had to
restore from the ZIP file the EMASTER & MASTER files. Even then, I had to open
the composite files and exit to get the last data date to correctly show in the
Downloader Open folder command.

Anyway, I thought you should know the trouble I am having with QP2. Whenever
data is corrected, the tickers have been exported to MetaStock format and even
if the autoupdate feature is enabled, the only way to get MetaStock exported
data corrected is to delete and re-export. Even then, some computer expertise
is required to get everything to fit together again without deleting the
MetaStock composites and starting all over again.

Sincerely,
Daniel.
