as a side note you can also create synthetic tickers for importing HISTORICAL fundamentals in case you need them for backtesting purposes.
The best solution I came up with the help of the support is to use something like "MSFT_fundamental" as fundamental ticker for Microsoft and reference it using f1 = Foreign( Name() +"_fundamental", "C")
