Yes, the code of course works. But the signals generated are wrong.

You missed part of my first post:

The periodicity under settings is set to 5 minutes, but the 
TimeFrameSet (inDaily) has no effect. Thus, it's the gap between 5-
minute bars that's reported, not Opening Gaps from the daily bars.

And THAT is what would require some sort of advanced workaround (I 
guess).
