Haders,

I can recommend Howard's book for newer users.
It is primarily an AmiBroker training book that is set in a trading 
context (it gives AB based examples for the the major trading topics - 
issue selection, entries,exits, filters, evaluation and system design 
etc).
It also includes the bonus of a few hints on where to find some 
successful trading systems.

IMO people are also underwhelmed by the long term Ami users who 
maintain a 'public' profile. People like Howard, Thomas (Pattern 
Recognition), Fred Tonetti (Optimization) and Herman (Automated 
Trading). They are not remote authors, writing from some trading 'ivory 
tower', but AB owners with years of experience, who are world class in 
their specialist fields, and who are available to talk to users, albeit 
ones with a little experience under their belts.

They don't come with the high price tags of many of the 'trading 
advisors' either.
