For those of you using or considering e-signal data for end of day or
intraday trading, be careful! I have used e-signal data for the last 8
months and have realized the data frequently includes missing or extra
quotes which are not corrected as time goes on. Using e-signal data has
caused me grief in attempting to do backtesting or actually making
trades. Interestingly, Yahoo's free EOD data is quite good compared to
e-signal.
Use the "Database Purify" option under tools in Amibroker to check it
out.
BTW, e-signal is refunding me the remainder of my annual subscription
costs after reviewing several examples I sent them showing data
inaccuracies.
