YEAR 2004 STOCK PICKING CONTEST - RULES

FOR FUN CONTEST RULES:

1. Pick 5 stocks, not less, not more, all different.
2. Purchase price (cost basis) is last/closing price
on last trading day of year December 31, 2003 (regular
hours).
3. No trading, no shorting (buy and hold for one
year).
4. If there is a sale or merger, you get the cash and
or stock provided, but no redeployment of the funds.
5. You get appropriate credit for any stock dividend
or stock split.
6. Cash dividends are not included (except that if at
the end of the year the contestant specifically
requests his or her stock selection performance be
adjusted to include the cash dividends, the adjustment
will be made after the year ends).
7.  There is no requirement to have some stocks in
drug industry, and no requirement to diversify the
selections.
8. Contest ends and ending price is last/closing price
on last trading day of the year (December 31, 2004)
regular hours.
9. Each stock selected must be covered in the Vector
Vest 7,883 stock database.  This includes almost all
listed and NASDAQ stocks, and many others.  You can
check for Vector Vest coverage of stocks that have
short history or have very low share trading or total
market capitalization.  Vector Vest will provide a two
page report on stocks covered (up to 3 a day for free
under “Free Stock Analysis”).

10. PRIZES:  There are no prizes.  Winners get
bragging rights and the personal satisfaction of
performing better than the major stock indexes, better
than many professional money managers, and better than
the other contestants.  

At contest end we will post the names of all
contestants that do better than the major stock market
indexes along with the percentage performance of their
stock picks.

11. Your 5 stock picks must be posted on or between
December 29, 2003 and January 1, 2004, inclusive at
one of the following two places (please use subject:
YEAR 2004 STOCK PICKING CONTEST):

SUGGESTIONS:
1. When posing your stock picks use in the subject: 
           YEAR 2004 STOCK PICKING CONTEST.
2. Type the symbols of your stock selections in
CAPITAL LETTERS.
3. If you also type the company's name or a short
version of their name others reading your selections
will be able to recognize them; and if you make a
typing error in the symbols it can be corrected.
4. Accept the challenge.  What have you got to lose?
