Hello,

I think that there is some misunderstanding here.

I appreciate all suggestions and will implement them as
time allows
and at the same time I understand Herman's
concerns.

The trouble is that every user has slightly different
approach
and different things are important for her/him.

Herman posted his e-mail in best faith and I didn't find any
of his
word insulting.

Herman has contributed LOTS of very valuable material to this
group so please
keep it in mind that he has full right to express his
view.

At the end of the day you have to trust me that I will
choose correct path and
will balance various request to produce the best blend of
(often opposite) suggestions.

Best regards,Tomasz Janeczkoamibroker.com

Herman, spare the lecture, and don't even think of insulting those of us
that have researched this before you had heard of it.
Nobody is proposing that any other improvements should be
put on hold to create these capabilities. I too, would like to see more
improvements for trade control, but unfortunately, it appears that your
"general purpose" enhancements should have the right of way. Surely, you have
already created fixes, work-arounds, scripts, and loops for those
  enhancements.

I made some suggestions of what I would like to see
without trashing what you would like to see as
  enhancements/improvements.

Would you like to change that situation?

  Anytime, Baby.

    Subject: RE: [amibroker] Poll results
    for amibroker - README
Sorry folks, but this poll is pretty SCARY! In fact i am
wetting my pants!I would much prefer to have Tomasz concentrate on
overall versatility andafl enhancements in general, i.e. work on
FEATURES THAT YOU CANNOT FINDANYWHERE ELSE AND THAT WILL BENEFIT EACH
AND EVERY USER.Face it: almost all special indicators can be
implemented with a little bitof work around, some looping, some scripts,
or in the extreme case with aDLL. The DLL-list has considerable
expertise and some very helpful people. If you really think your
special indicator will make you a lot of money thenit is worth your
while to learn (remember the word?) a few new things.Perhaps even pay
(YES!) somebody to write a DLL for you. Also, if a specialindicator is
really that important to you then you could find some otherusers and
combine efforts to get the job done, perhaps even share the costof
hiring somebody for a few hours. To have TJ sweat on that many
individual indicators to have some user try itout and to find that it
after all doesn't do the job and to never look at itagain, is a waste of
time. Yes: I have been there and done it!Let us be honest: we want
those indicators to "try them out" not because we"know" that they are
going to make us rich. From the last 200 indicatorsthat you tried, how
many have made you rich? Obviously not too many...It islike looking for
the HG: there is NO single million dollar indicator.Any indicator
that has less than 20 (30?) votes should be ignored. Why?Because in an
equivalent amount of time TJ could implement general purposeAB
enhancements that would benefit each and every single user. Some of
theseenhancements (like the recent looping) would allow probably most of
theindicators to be implemented by users themselves. How many of
you have tried the new looping functions? How would you likesubroutines?
Pyramiding? etc. Some of these functions would benefit everysingle
user...OK, I will not vote for any indicator: I will vote for
general purposeenhancement (should have been an item on the
    poll?).best regards,Herman-----Original
