Dear Thomasz,

Thanks so much for your reply.
As I mentioned in my note to you, I did re-install my ver. 3.79 and that
seemed to do the trick. I replaced the Broker.exe as well as the
cooltool.dll. Rebooted the system, and my ghost message was gone. I value
your recommendations though, as I now have a few more things to try
before bothering you again.

Best Regards,

Hal

Dear
Hal,

Could you please
1. Send me the formula that causes this behaviour
2. Send me the Error message text
3. Even better send me a screenshot

You can try the following:
1. close AmiBroker
2. RENAME following files
    broker.charts (to broker1.charts for example)
    default.layout (to default1.layout)
3. run AmiBroker and see if the problems still persist.

If you are OK, you may close AmiBroker and rename back broker1.charts to
broker.charts
(this file contains all your custom
indicators).
The same you can do with default.layout (this file holds the information
about chart panes
and sheets)

Subject: [amibroker] Mysterious code line on Error Screen

Hi Tomasz,

Ever since my system "bombed" while I was messing with AFL code in the Automatic Analyzer window, I have an AFL code line, which comes up as an error in the Analyzer, Commentary and Indicator Builder windows.

The Error window always appears at the end of a successful Scan, in the Automatic Analyzer window.

The Error window always appears after an Indicator APPLY, command and the indicator IS displayed correctly.

The Error window always appears after the closure of the Commentary window.

The indications appear ALL the time, regardless of the actions I might take to eliminate that window.

I would appreciate knowing what action I can take to remove this derelict window!

Is there a file I can remove or clean, or possibly reinstall the program, etc. etc.

I'm running ver. 3.79.

Regards,

Hal
