Hi David,
I have already posted some preliminary mails to this target.
I had the same discussion with P yesterday.
But, I am still working on this and there are many things to test. 
So, give me some time please and you will see the result.
You do not need AFL script to work with intervals inside or outside a 
band.
I will revert.
