Thank you for you assistance with regards to this problem I have been having. I have to apologies to uncle Bill @ MS. I have come to the conclusion that it was not a MSoft caused problem and in specific the MS Money software that I loaded.
I first downloaded the service pack and installed it, restarted the PC and hoped for the best....NO luck still there...so I went and completely Un-Installed AB and even went and deleted the leftovers in the c:\Program Files\Amibroker folder. Restarted the PC into DOS mode and deleted the MSVCR.DLL file in the System folder.
Held thumbs an cranked the system up again...only Mcaffee did not want to start - it needed the file, this I ignored for the moment and reinstalled the latest full version of AB 3.7 Restarted the PC and BINGO no problems when I exit the programme. But as you may guess all my custom settings were also reset...so one by one and testing AB after each file replacement I copied certain files from the AB Backup folder back to the NEW AB folder. First went the BrokerKey file, then the default layout file, so far so good andAB exits perfectly...but my custom indicators were not in the indicator list anymore...so there was a file called "broker.charts" in the backup folder...after copying it to the NEW folder the problem was back...got the same error again...then I replaced this file with a backup of a fresh copy and BINGO it worked again fine...thus I conclude that this file has gone "madcow" on me...I just reentered my indicators manually and am now ready to continue my path to riches.
I hope that something in here might make sense to you or possibly even helpyou...but I'm ok now.
