Hello,
Even Microsoft is not perfect :-)
For your information: in the "Getting started"

Solution
AmiBroker hangs at startup or frequent
errors occur
Win 95: Please check if you have Internet Explorer 4 or higher
installed (5.5 recommended)
Download and install the latest version of AmiBroker.
Win 95, 98, NT: Install the latest version of the Microsoft
run-time files and operating system components available <A

href="">here.
What is NOT nice is that the installer of MS
Money overwrites the newer library with an older version. (They teach everyone
not to do so and they do it by themselves). AmiBroker installer always
checks the version numbers and overwrites system files
only if they are older (MFC42.DLL and
MSVCRT.DLL).

Subject: [amibroker] MSVCRT.DDL
error
Hallo all,
I have recently started to experience an error created
in this dll file, each time I exit AMIbroker....At first I thought it mayhave
been something wrong with this version as I have been working on the demoall
the time and eventually downloaded the final release.
After further investigation and searching the webit
turned out that at the same time I also loaded Microsoft Money 99, which
according to Microsoft's web site, replaces this particular and probably other
to with older less stable library files...I was instructed to download the
latest library files, and did so. installed them - PROBLEM SOLVED
!!!
This e-mail is just for those who are and might have
this problem in the future after installing older software...
Keep well
